The Benefits of Seasonal Ski & Snowboard Rentals for Kids

Why Should You Consider Renting Your Children’s Ski Gear This Winter

Outfitting a child with Bousquet Mountain’s seasonal ski or snowboard rentals offers numerous benefits that go beyond merely providing the necessary equipment for a great day on the slopes. For families who enjoy winter sports or are looking to introduce their child to the world of sliding on snow, seasonal rentals can be a practical and advantageous choice. Here are some key benefits:

Ski Rentals Are Cost Efficient

One of the primary advantages of seasonal rentals is the cost savings. Purchasing new ski equipment for a growing child can be a significant expense, especially since children outgrow their gear quickly – often after a single season depending on the age of the child. Seasonal rentals provide a cost-effective solution, allowing families to access high-quality equipment at a fraction of the price of buying new. This is particularly beneficial for families who ski a bit less frequently.

Rentals Offer A Guaranteed Fit

A growing child’s ski equipment needs to be regularly adjusted to ensure a proper fit. With seasonal rentals, parents can benefit from professional fitting services. The Bousquet rental shops will ensure that the gear, including skis, boots, and poles, is appropriately sized and adjusted to match the child’s growth throughout the season. This eliminates the hassle of having to constantly purchase new equipment as the child grows.

Access to Updated Equipment

Ski technology and design improve over time, and seasonal rentals give families access to the latest advancements without having to make a significant investment. Rental shops typically offer newer and well-maintained equipment, so children can benefit from the latest innovations in ski design and safety features. This access to updated equipment can enhance the skiing experience and improve performance on the slopes.

Maintenance and Safety

Regular tuning is important for ski and snowboard equipment to ensure safety and performance. The Bousquet Rental shop provides pre-purchase maintenance and inspections as part of their service, including edge sharpening, waxing, and adjustments. This ensures that the equipment is in good condition and safe for use, which can be especially reassuring for parents. The peace of mind knowing that the equipment is well-maintained can enhance the overall skiing experience for both parents and children.

Amanda Cozzaglio

Amanda started at Bousquet in September, 2022.

She was born and raised in the Berkshires and currently resides in Pittsfield. She loves to be outside in the summer months hiking the various trails we have to enjoy, biking on the Rail Trail or kayaking anywhere there is water. Although she enjoys the warm weather over the cold, she is excited to appreciate the winter beauty on a whole other level and brush up on her skiing skills!

When Amanda is not working, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her family (mainly her 5 nephews and 1 sweet little niece 😊)
